At 9:00 a.m. on September 1, 2018, Meilian Experimental School, No. 1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University (CCNU No. 1 Middle School) opened its campus for the first time, welcoming the first-batch students since school foundation and their parents. The students came to register in an orderly manner; the first step for each student's enrolling was to take a family photo, which enhanced the sense of ceremony.

After the photos were taken, parents brought along the admission notice issued by the school, the originals and photocopies of the household register for the school staff to check. Each parent received the school's admission materials for each student, including a Student Handbook, Code of Conduct and Disciplinary Regulations, Primary School Curriculum Guide for the 2018-2019 School Year, and a list of all types of school supplies needed by students for the new semester.

The next step was for the Principal to introduce the school's teaching team to parents, while the students were guided by the teachers to carry out ultra-light clay, drumming, Guzheng and other activities in small groups so as to fully appreciate the school's curriculum culture on the first day of school.

Subsequently, the volunteers led the parents to visit the campus in groups to experience and understand the campus environment. The students were brought to the classrooms by the head teachers. The students introduced themselves, got to know each other and began their first day of study.
