On February 22nd, 2019, Meilian Experimental School, CCNU No.1 Middle School organized firefighting safety knowledge training themed “participation by all people and fire disaster prevention and control”. The school invited Instructor Yang Cheng from Wuhan Citizen Safety and Fire Protection Center to carry out a vivid training of fire safety knowledge and using skills in fire extinguishers for all the teaching and administrative staff of our school. “Safety first, prevention first”. The school hopes to continuously promote teaching and administrative staff’s cognition of fire safety work and further master fire safety knowledge and using methods of fire extinguishers.

At seminar, with texts and pictures, news reports, accident analysis, onsite statements and other methods, Instructor Yang played and interpreted videos for examples of many serious fire accidents occurred lately, which shocked all the participators a lot in heart with such shocking pictures and figures. They profoundly realized the significance in that “a hidden danger is more dangerous than an open fire; and the prevention is superior to providing disaster relief”. Then, for the actual situation of fire safety at school, combined with electricity, gas and fire knowledge in work and life, he introduced reasons for accidents and harms caused by them, interpreted self-prevention, self-rescue and escaping skills after fire disasters in details and introduced different fire extinguishers with different categories, functions and uses. With vivid language, excellent voice and affection, the instructor combined with practice and got close to life, which received very good education effects. This educational training further promoted the fire safety awareness of teachers and students in our school and enhanced the self-prevention and self-rescue ability of each teaching and administrative staff to prevent and dispose fire accidents at school. Instructor Yang’s concise and practical interpretation was praised by all the teachers and students on the venue!
