At 10 a.m. on October 26, 2018, Meilian Experimental School, No.1 Middle School Affiliated to Central China Normal University all 90 organized teachers and students to go to Wuhan Activity Center for Women and Children to carry out a traffic safety education activity themed "Go to School Happily, Go Home Safely", which was the first lesson on traffic safety. The event aims to enhance juveniles’ awareness of traffic safety, improve their ability of self-protection in traffic safety, and educate them in advance to avoid accidents and injuries, so as to lead, demonstrate, influence and promote children's safety education and healthy growth.

In the traffic theme education experience hall, students learned traffic safety knowledge, namely, traffic signs, common knowledge of safe riding, common traffic violations and the hazards of pedestrians on expressways. Sounds, light and electric equipment were used to create a fun and educational interaction, where students can learn traffic safety knowledge in simulated scenarios and use such knowledge to keep them safe.

In the activity center, students' slogan "stop at the red light, go at the green light and wait at the yellow light!" was sounded in the simulation experience area of traffic safety. To put the slogan into practice, students lined up orderly and walked through the traffic safety venue under the rule of “stop at the red light and walk fast at the green light”, experiencing the correct traffic norms. In addition to activities in the traffic theme venue, other theme education activities were carried out on that day, including food safety education and lightning safety education.
